The Office of Compliance and Policy assists campus community members in understanding the University's policies and procedures in the areas of discrimination and harassment, sexual harassment and sexual violence, whistleblower and whistleblower retaliation, and civilian complaints against University police officers. We are impartial administrators who are neither advocates nor adversaries with respect to the parties and witnesses in a complaint-related matter.
All complaints are treated with the greatest degree of confidentiality possible. The University will protect the privacy of individuals involved in a complaint or the investigation of a complaint to the extent permitted by law and University policy. However, University investigations may involve interviews with a number of people and the gathering of sensitive information. To conduct a thorough and complete investigation and comply with relevant University processes, the University may need to disclose certain information during or following an investigation.
